1948 Doubleday & Company hardcover with dust jacket, Young Moderns edition, first printing
This is a vintage used item, in good used condition, with some signs of age/wear; DJ bears rubbing/scuffing, progressive edgewear and associated corner distress, wear along/about spine, separations at inset folds, fading/smudging to DJ whites, minor points of blemish/distress. Jet-black coverboards show light rubbing, minor edgewear and associated corner wear/rounding. Interior pages show clean/smooth, creamy-white, with sharp black typeset and good preservation of B&W images/illustrations; light wear/some tanning. Spine remains straight/smooth, with visible shelfwear (top/base), while binding is intact/secure and square-to-hand. There are no excessive rips, tears, perforations, stains, residue or repairs.
