This is a vintage used item, in good used condition, with some signs of age/wear; the matchbook has had matches removed, striking strip has been trimmed off with light wear from staple removal, there is rubbing/scuffing to surface of paper, mild edgewear and associated corner wear, fading/smudging throughout. Overall paper quality is good; smooth/glossy, with good preservation of typography and typeset still sharp/clear. There are no excessive rips, tears, perforations, stains, residue or repairs.
The matchbook cover measures approx 1.5" x 4" and contains no matches, which was the acceptable guideline for matchbook collecting up until the 1960's and is part of a collection of over 2300 matchbook covers from the 1930's to the 1970's.
